Terms & Condition
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing our website or engaging Roofex for roofing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and anyone who interacts with Roofex.
2. SERVICES
Roofex provides residential and light commercial roofing services including but not limited to roof installation, roof repair, storm damage restoration, and inspection and maintenance. All services are subject to a written scope of work and fixed-price quote agreed upon by both parties before work begins.
3. QUOTES AND ESTIMATES
All quotes provided by Roofex are:
Valid for 30 days from the date of issue
Based on conditions visible at the time of inspection
Subject to adjustment if additional damage or structural issues are discovered once work begins - we will notify you before proceeding with any out-of-scope work
Fixed-price once a written contract is signed - no hidden fees
4. PAYMENT TERMS
A deposit may be required before materials are ordered for larger installation projects.
Final payment is due upon project completion and final walk-through sign-off.
Accepted payment methods: check, bank transfer, and major credit cards.
Overdue balances beyond 30 days are subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge.
Roofex reserves the right to place a mechanic's lien on the property for unpaid balances in accordance with applicable state law.
5. WARRANTY
Workmanship Warranty:
Roofex provides a 25-year written workmanship warranty on all new roof installations. This warranty covers defects in installation quality performed by Roofex crews. It does not cover damage caused by severe weather events, acts of nature, improper maintenance, or modifications made by third parties after installation.
Manufacturer Warranty:
Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturer (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, etc.) and are separate from Roofex's workmanship warranty. We will assist you in registering your manufacturer warranty upon project completion.
Warranty Exclusions:
The workmanship warranty is voided if:
Repairs or modifications are made to the roof by anyone other than Roofex without prior written consent
The property owner fails to maintain gutters and drainage systems, causing water backup damage
Structural issues below the roof deck cause failure of the installed roofing system
6. INSURANCE CLAIMS
When Roofex assists with storm damage insurance claims, we act as your advocate and documentation provider - not as a licensed public adjuster unless separately stated. We make no guarantee of claim outcomes, as final settlement decisions rest solely with your insurance carrier. Our documentation and adjuster meeting services are provided at no additional charge as part of our storm restoration service.
7. PROPERTY ACCESS
By scheduling an inspection or service with Roofex, you authorize our crew to access the roof and exterior of the property at the agreed appointment time. We will not access interior areas of the property without your explicit permission. Drone inspections may be conducted from public airspace in accordance with FAA Part 107 regulations.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Roofex's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of use, loss of income, or damage to personal property not directly caused by our crew's negligence.
9. CANCELLATION POLICY
Inspection appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled at any time at no charge.
Signed installation or repair contracts may be cancelled within 3 business days of signing with a full refund of any deposit.
Cancellations after the 3-day window but before material delivery will incur a restocking fee equal to the cost of ordered materials.
Cancellations after material delivery or work has begun will be billed for all work completed and materials ordered to that point.
10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
In the event of a dispute arising from our services, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication first. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in the state where the services were performed, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the roofing services were performed. Any legal proceedings shall be held in the county where the property is located.
12. WEBSITE USE
